We also have aircraft modelling in Semič. It‘s the hobby of making and flying small aircraft, better known as model making. It’s an excellent activity for everyone who wants to be involved in aviation or aeronautics in an easy way.
The Bela krajina Modelling Association brings together local fans of technical culture. It was established in 1996, and mainly deals with aircraft modelling. Activities take place at the Drage pri Semiču model aircraft airport, located in the direction of Črnomelj at the turnoff for Pugled village. Besides recreational flying, we actively participate in modelling competitions in Slovenia and elsewhere. We also organise a match for the Slovenian National Cup in air combat at our domestic airport every year.
We assist and advise new members in the purchasing and making of model aircraft. We train new pilots of radio-controlled models under the mentorship of our flight instructors. You can join us, too!
